ZONE 01 Entrance Court:
An amphitheater like seating zone has been designed near the main entrance area. This area is provided with Green Platforms
ZONE 02 Time Line Display & Open Air Library:
A special zone has been designed to house a gallery dedicated to the life of Swami Vivekananda, where his life story can be experienced with the help of photos, his achievements and his works. This gallery will be overlooking the Statue and Landscaped area.
ZONE 03 area near the Statue :
The Statue is envisaged with layers of green belts around it. These green belts will provide the necessary foreground and background to the statue. A water body is placed in front of the statue. This arrangement of statue and water-body aligned is provided to highlight the importance of the statue.
ZONE 04 Statue Surroundings :
The surrounding area has been provided with pathways dotted with landscape elements, flowerbeds and plantation. Visitors can walk all around the statue and access every part of the designed area.
The statue has been designed with a glass canopy covering it.
Pathways:
The pathway and steps passing through the entry plaza will provide a good foreground before entering the main zone.
Other pathways with the main zone are designed to make the visitors experience every zone of the designed area.
At Evenings:
The chowk area will become a focal point near the railway station. Carefully designed lighting scheme will attract visitors in the evenings as well.
S.V.Road is one of the important roads in Mumbai City. It has a traffic island dedicated to Swami Vivekananda. At the junction of S.V.Road & Chandarvarkar road near Borivali Railway Station (W). When the requirement for rethinking of the chowk came up we focused on revitalizing the area with our design & very dedicatedly worked on to highlight the importance of Swami Vivekananda.
We have created a completely new experirnce not only for people who enter the site but also for passerby.
The design includes an entrance Plaza with stepped green amphitheater, seating benches, new pedestal for the statue, new lighting design and the main attraction – A memorial gallery to display Swamiji’s life.
Hidden Fact Swamiji visited Kanheri caves, Borivali (E) in the year 1892 and has impressed & influenced by the design of mighty chaitya hall of Kanheri. He spoke about it in detail with his disciples and his thoughts are well documented. New the design celebrates his visits to Borivali.

The site had a dedicated island with Swamiji’s statue but it demanded more in terms designing where we have made honest effort to celebrate the great life of Swami Vivekanda.
